about the NCLB Title IV-A, SDFSCA, Performance Report

 

Q:        Can I logon to the website multiple times to enter the data?

A:         Yes, but once you have finalized the data, you must again finalize the data each time you re-enter the program.

 

Q:        Title IV-A is listed as an inactive system at the data collection site.  Your letter state that it will open “September 10”.  Is something wrong?

A:         You may be using an old view created from last year. Go to Http://homeroom.state.nj.us.  In the View Menu on your toolbar, select Refresh, then Title IV Part A. 

 

Q:        Our district is a member of a consortium.  Why do we have to complete the questionnaire?

A:         The U.S. Department of Education requires us to report on the number of districts using data in the planning and management of their violence and ATOD prevention programs.

   

Q:        Question 13:  is a “Smoke Out” is considered a smoking cessation program?

A:         Yes, enter the number of students who actively participated in the program.

 

Q:        Question 14:  This question asks about the number of students referred to either internal or external programs.   What does this include? 

A:         This would include formal referrals by teachers and others as well as less formal referrals (including self-referrals), e.g., students receiving services from a School-Based Youth Services Program or a substance awareness coordinator or other pupil personnel services professional (i.e., a school-based service). Note that it is not the number of contacts, but the number of students who are referred or receive services.
